Garbage Service
Advanced Disposal is contracted with the City of Gray for garbage services for City residents. Each residential Customer is charged $10.00 on their water bill for this service. This service includes a weekly pickup of household garbage, a monthly pick up of yard debris and a quarterly pick up of “white goods” (anything other than household or yard debris). City of Gray Water customers that live outside of the City limits may also obtain garbage service for the cost of $15 per month.
Advanced Disposal provides weekly curbside garbage collection on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Place garbage cart out for collection 6:00 A.M. on collection day. Residents should remove garbage cart from the curb by 8:00 P.M. on your collection day.
Please help us provide efficient, safe and timely service to all residents by doing the following:
- Put carts or cans where the trash collector can conveniently get to them
- Use Advanced Disposal provided roll-out carts
- Put all garbage and household refuse in watertight bags before being placed in roll-out cart
- Wash roll-out cart with soap and water as needed
Yard Waste
Yard waste is collected from each residential premises one time per week at curbside. Yard waste is defined as grass clippings, leaves, shrubbery and tree cuttings, pine needles, palm fronds and other similar organic waste materials accumulated as the result of the cultivation and maintenance of lawns, shrubbery, vines, trees, gardens, etc. Plastic planting pots, ground cover sheeting, lumber and fencing are not yard waste materials. Yard trash can be no more than 4 feet in length and no more than 2 inches in diameter. Smaller items must be bagged or containerized, and larger items must be bundled and tied, and stacked neatly curbside.
Bulk Waste/White Goods
White Goods are collected once per week at a limit of two items per week curbside. Bulk Waste/White Goods are defined as stoves, refrigerators, water heaters, washing machines, furniture and other similar materials. Refrigerators and freezers need to have the doors removed or taped shut as a safety precaution.
